Crazy Stormy Summer

What a crazy Stormy summer. We have had two trees fall in our backyard on the backside of our house. This happened over 2 weeks ago with the start of these storms. I can't believe we are still waiting for an claims adjuster to come. They are so busy they say and I understand that but when we asked if we were to take detailed pics if we could start cutting down the trees they said no. They at least let us re-do the electrical box that the trees tore right off the backside of our house.

Well after this past week it looks like we have quite a bit more to add on to that claim. We lost power on Wednesdays storm and did not get power back till Saturday. Which means our sump pumps were not working and we got over 3" of water in the basement.

I worked on laundry all day yesterday. I didn't realize just how much storage I had in boxes down there. Hopefully I can head over to Target tonight and pick up storage containers to replace everything in.

MMM Hoopla

O.k. now that all the MMM hoopla is over with- How do I feel ?

I am not really sure how to feel. I knew that I really never had a chance. I was never expecting to hear my phone ring. So your probably wondering why I entered to begin with.

I guess for me it was really the challenge of commitment, I hardly ever submit my work and submitting is a challenge to myself this year- Not the challenge of hoping to get chosen. So I guess on the plus side I have some layouts I really like and am proud of and the down side is I sent away a layout I really loved.

So now to try to re-create it but I need your help. I used some KI Wild Thing Hip Chipboard and I can't find it anywhere ! It's the angel wings and the heart in the package I need. Please let me know if any one has it or know where I can get some I will gladly pay for them !

Not Ready For This !!!!!

Well that dreadful time has come when one realizes that their little ones are growing up.

I have been avoiding it but Mercedes has a "Boy Friend" or as I prefer to call it a "Guy Friend".

Why am I having such a hard time with it ? Is it because I want to forever see her as a baby, a child or is it because I see myself as losing control of her life and her choices ? Aggghhhhh Is there a way to turn back time ?

I had the opportunity to spend a little time with Zak and he is adorable and a very respectful young man. I guess the hard part is really trusting that I have raised her to make the right and Godly choices in everything she does.

Yup, I sure did it. I entered and submitted my work for MM Masters. I actually am not expecting a phone call or even getting my hopes up but I am proud of myself that I followed thru. I admire all those who submit every year and poor their hearts into their work to only be rejected time after time. I know I don't have that kind of stamina so this might be my one and only time. So CONGRATS to all of you who submitted because your all winners in my book !!!!!!
