Sewing Project, Pictures and more....

I haven't purchased a Scrappy Magazine in quite a while. I got a chance to look thru the CK 101 Hip, Handmade Gifts while in the check out line at JoAnns and decided to purchase it. It really is a stunning magazine and it even encouraged me to make a handmade gift for a friends Baby Shower. My family keeps asking what animal is it and to be honest I am not really sure. I am pretty happy with the way it turned out. I made it out of a grayish velvet and some yellow cotton I had on hand and used MME Tres Bien "Summer Turquoise" buttons for the eyes. The only thing I wish I would have done different was embroider the baby's name and a heart on its chest but that was an after thought. Who knows maybe if I have time I will make some matching bibs and embroider on the bibs.

Here are a few recent pictures of Isabella. She is getting so big and has been learning to crawl. She has started to mouth Dada when we do it but no sounds comes out yet. I am sure it won't be long before so is gabbing away. The boys crack me up because they get so excited with everything new she learn and does.

Well between planning a Baby Shower and just everything else. I have only had a little time to do a few things and here are the most recent. I had a lot of fun creating this whimsical clock. I used the Fancy Pants BigBoard chipboard for the 3d effect on the tree and owl wings. The tree leaves are actually the clouds but I figured I could pull it off as leaves. The cards are very simple but I used some older PP on the inside and the Beauty layout is part of a Sripture Challenge I am doing at CMK. With CHA around the corner I am trying to use up some of my older stash so don't be surprised to see some projects where you go aaahhhhh I remember that PP from years ago :' )

Busy Busy Busy

Quickly Posting my recent layouts and Projects. I think I may just be the only family who still has their Christmas Tree up. So off I go to finally take it down. I suppose the 3 after-Christmas Parties did not help. Damien is trying to convince me that we should turn it into a Holiday Tree and decorate it for Valentine's Day, Easter, etc.
I THINK NOT !!!!

Dreamweaver and New Projects

Yay- Had a great mail day yesterday and am looking forward to digging in to my new books. I am determined to learn Dreamweaver and Flash this year. Last year was PhotoShop and I was so surprised to see how quickly I picked it all up once I started. One book has over 700pages and is quite heavy so I am really hoping that I don't let this discourage me. Now all I need is time. Time Time Time if I can only have that mailed to me somehow :') Here are some recent projects and layouts I have made and off I go to read.

The After

Wow- I just wanted to take a moment and wish every one a HAPPY NEW YEAR ! We are still celebrating Christmas. We have had two party's with one one to go. It sometimes is so difficult getting everyone together and it really was important to me this year to try even if we had to celebrate Christmas after Christmas. Cheers to another new year and more chances :')"May God banish from the hearts of all men and women whatever might endanger peace.
May God transform them into witnesses of truth, justice and love.
May God enkindle the rulers of peoples so that in addition to their solicitude for the proper welfare of their citizens, they may guarantee and defend the great gift of peace.
May God enkindle the wills of all so that they may overcome the barriers that divide, cherish the bonds of mutual charity, understand others, and pardon those who have done them wrong.
May all peoples of the earth become as brothers and sisters, and may the most longed-for peace blossom forth and reign always among men and women." Uknown
